Nah Nas fukked with Cole.

Kendrick is just obviously better

Yea he fukked with him but only minimally. Cole was supposed to be the top and next up of the new generation along with Kendrick and Drake but Nas never really gave Cole his flowers in terms of the new age rappers

Talks about Nas a little bit around the 21min mark. I still think there's some weird energy there. He does compliment him saying the Garden show being themed around the Hitboy albums "made no sense for him but made all the sense for me" and there's the shout-out on the album with Alc.

Hoping they run it back at some point but really can't complain after 6 full albums on which I literally only dislike 1 song. They obviously moved on creatively so maybe that's just it and I'm in my Stanbag. Hit retreated even more into his Westcoast bag and Nas expanded to the Legends run and both are producing excellent results.

I'm a bit high and rambling so ima end it there, not sure where I was going with it.

Hit says: “It makes no sense but it makes all the sense.”

That was in response to the host saying it’s crazy that was Nas’s first show at the garden considering his status in the game. Maybe I missed something but I didn’t sense any weird energy there.

Cole is crying somewhere right about now. Lol

It's kinda funny how Cole was such a Nas stan back in the day when he was coming up but Nas never really showed him that type of love or recognition. At least not to the level Cole seemed to want.

I personally prefer Cole over Kendrick though but thats just imo. Something about Kendrick's voice annoys me.

I'm cool being in the minority in this, but I never thought much of Kendrick Lamar as any real "successor". He's talented, but not some otherworldly Rapper people seem to weirdly anoint him as. His lyricism is basic as hell, and has basic subject matter. Seems like being anoint him because there is such a lack of lyrical rappers that have pop appeal, that they just gravitate to him because of that

J-Cole 10x the rapper Kendrick is when it comes to lyricism, subject matter, song making, etc. And he's a natural successor to Nas

Kendrick being "The next Nas" is forced and awkward to me. Kendrick sounds like a weird mix of Eminem and Andre 3000
