Am I the only that feels like not talking to someone for a couple years isn't a big deal? Like, so what? Everyone has someone they're cool with but haven't caught up with for a few years.

One of my best friends I grew up with I went a couple years without speaking to but when we linked back up it’s like shyt never changed. Picked right up where we left off. Some people feel like in order to be friends u gotta be all up under someone all the time. Not true.

The overall impressions i’ve seen are overwhelmingly positive. Even Akademicks shouted Nas out as did the breakfast club

I will say for the most part though, people are happy. Nas just does a great job of balancing the business moves and doing things for the culture. He doesn’t make the capitalist side of him a personality trait. I’ve seen people say why is Nas not getting hated on for a casino that Jay would get hated on for. Nas is just flat out is more likable to the masses and doesn’t come across as snaking people.

A New York publication leaving Nas off a greatest writers list is DISGUSTING work. For reference. Young Thug is on the list. Jay Z is on the list. Taylor Swift is on the list. Yea the mainstream media has always attempted to exclude Nas from these list in favor of elevating Jayz. It’s been going on for a long time. And Kendrick is the new mainstream media rapper that they are looking to elevate over Nas.

The list without Nas is irrelevant. Nas absolutely belongs AND he belongs in the top ten.

Drake uses ghostwriters, he doesn’t belong anywhere NEAR a top writing list.

Common deserves a slot in a top 30 list and on the R&B side i’d argue for Maxwell.
