Anybody else having a problem defending shots or Layups? I got a foul every time I defended a layup or close shot yesterday and any other thing the defender wouldn't even get put a hand up and I'm super smashin triangle. What the eff

Defense is damn near impossible. I need to play a lot more to get the hang of it.

My only gripes so far:

1.Way too many offensive rebounds
2.damn near impossible to get on ball steals
3.delayed reaction when you try to block or contest a shot

So far i dont think the gameplay is better than 2k14.the players seem alot more slower and stiffer this year

Defense is damn near impossible. I need to play a lot more to get the hang of it.

Yea the shot defense has a learning curve to it. I did get a block tho It was a pleasant surprise. It got me hyped. Maybe the learning curve is a good thing

I haven't played that much, but the problem I have is the CPU is hitting quite a few contested layups whereas, my guys will routinely miss layups if even slightly contested.

Do you guys hit block or use the contest shot right stick on D? I've given up hope that the defense pre 2k10 will return

I like the scrimmage and practice mode. much easier to practice shooting when u don't have to go retrieve the ball.

scrimmage is dope cuz u can just play a team as long as u want without any interruptions to get practice.

seems the cpu makes a contested layup 95% of the time

and can you not shade on defense anymore?

A little bit of both. If you hit block though it's more than likely going to be a foul. I think there's stats that determine your likelihood to foul though, it's the on-ball defense IQ, P&R Defense IQ, Help Defense IQ and Post Defense IQ
