I'm debating to get the hard copy or online download too because the trade in credit I have I can use towards some other game. I mean sports games don't usually have much resale value after the first year. Should I go hard copy at GameStop or pull the preorder and buy online? Anyone else having trouble with it downloading?

No I preordered it at GameStop. Last year I bought a hard copy of madden and traded it in a while later when I was done since I never play older versions of madden. Same thing happens with 2k so I'm debating if I should go digital since I usually trade it in the next year.
You should prolly just stick with the hard copy xbox users are having problems with downloading.
I did this and it's been downloading ever since.
