The Rangers suck. Torts had to go but they got guys and built around his system. Now you bring in an offensive minded coach to try and get the scoring going with a bunch of grinders not built for that all while losing the defensive edge. Team has no identity.

They haven't had an identity for a while now. There's virtually no attack, and they are too spread out on power play, and this has been happening for quite a few years. But I didn't expect hem to come out strong right now. Starting 9 straight games in a row on the road while they fix the Garden? The record so far seems just about right, with an amazing effort over the Red Wings.

Semyon Varlamov, starting goaltender for the Colorado Avalanche, was arrested Wednesday night on domestic violence-related charges, which included kidnapping, the Denver Police Department said.

Varlamov turned himself in to police around 6 p.m. and is being held without bond on second-degree kidnapping and third-degree assault charges, police said. The kidnapping charge is a Class 4 felony, punishable by to two to six years in prison, according Colorado statutes. Class 4 felony kidnapping is defined by taking someone and moving them to another place without their consent.
