stamkos had a fairly inconsisten rookie season. the team was picked in his second year in December. They didn't even take Crosby in 06, so the Stamkos omission was not that alarming. There's very few players Team Canada takes that are in the first or second year, Doughty's the only exception that I can recall and he was runner up for the norris at 19 so he deserved it. by the time the tournament ended, he was probably their best dman.
point is he had no reason to comment on Ryan like that,if you dont want em thats fine but he came out his face and disrespected him in front of the entire hockey world for no other reason than hes an a$$hole...
He was leading the league in goals at the time of the break....nobody said shyt cuz they won gold.
pk is a very good defenseman. yeah, he makes mistakes occasionally but that okay because his pay off is so high and he at least brings some semblance of a defensive, unlike 4th forwards like Mike Green & Erik Karlsson.

Nobody in there right mind would take Keith over Subban right now....Keith is mistake prone defensively and although hes a great skater and PP guy he still cant do things that PK can....

hell i remember 2010 on home ice canada was struggling with brodeur everyone was written them off then they blew out russia and got momentum back
the guy on his line who was the biggest reason in him breaking out, Martin St Louis, made the team in 06 but got left off in 2010. That was actually a bigger omission than 2009 Stammer
