Canada should be heavy heavy favourites to win gold....Those 4 lines :banderas::banderas:

Nobody seeing that talent, other teams aint even close either....4th line would be every other countries top line...

This team is deeper and way more talented than 2010....We got rid of checkers like Mike Richards and replaced em with Matt Duchesne and Tavares...this team on paper should score 4-5 goals a game easy.

Only way this team dont win gold is if Luongo,Price play like complete shyt...even if they 'OK' this team wins...they are that deep.
They just need goalies to be like Chris Osgood on those Red Wing teams dont lose it dont have to be spectacular...

4th line of Patrick Sharp,Jamie Benn and Getzlaf :banderas:

Lose 50 goal scorer and replace with a top 5 scorer in his place....Could you imagine a PP line of Crosby,Stamkos and Tavares with Subban and Keith on the points...:banderas::banderas:

oh yea and

:banderas:

Canada are favorites but they can lose easily. This isn't like olympic basketball where United States only faces one good team in Spain, and Spain almost beat them in the gold medal game. In hockey, Russia, Sweden, US all have legit talent.

Remember, Canada has never won on international ice either. They did a better job this year of putting a team together. I can see they focused on bringing over a big and talented team. Think that's the main reason St.Louis was left out for so long. Really like this squad and think they got the best team, but one hot goalie can change everything.

Look at the rosters..US,Russians,Sweden arent close talent wise....Canada's 4th line is better than there top lines...Americans roster is :trash: tbh not even worried about them....Canada is gold favourite but it should be like a 7-4 favourite...

The international ice thing is like faceoff % very overrated talking point.....Were talking about 10 feet longer by 5 feet wider :russ:
People act like thats going to be some kind of a difference, these are the best of the best 10x5 is nothing man....suddenly other inferior rosters are on even terms because of the size of the rink now :lolbron:

I wanna see some euro ass whoopings...

Hope they win, and they are favorites. But I'll never be over confident, the 96 world cup of hockey ruined that. Losing a best of 3 series with gretzky, sakic, yzerman and everyone except Lemieux. Felt great beating the americans in the 2010 finals.

To leave the Olympics with a medal is a dream come true for most athletes. For one example, just go watch how the USA four-man bobsled team reacted to winning a bronze medal in Sochi even after winning gold in Vancouver. It's a huge deal and the medal gives the athletes something tangible to hold onto forever to remember it.

Erik Karlsson is not one of those athletes. You hear the idea of Gold or Bust at the Olympics and Karlsson seems set on sticking to that mantra. He picked up a silver medal with Sweden after losing to Canada in the final but the Senators defenseman doesn't seem too keen on it.

From Senators Extra's James Gordon.

According to Olympic News Service, this is what he had to say when asked what his silver medal meant to him: "You will see when I put it out on eBay."

Karlsson went on to say that the Swedes' accomplishment will be something to look back on with pride one day, but he's just not there yet.

What? No mention about Subban taking a dumb penalty leading to a Red Wings goal
