Official NHL 2014-2015 Random Thoughts Thread

Habs have been : since the 3-1 win against Rangers on October 25. Its nearly 2 weeks since then

1-3-1 in their last 5 outings.

1.Lost 3-0 to Oilers in Edmonton

2.Barely won against Flames in Calgary in the shootout( a game where Price was excellent in net and frustrated the constant offensive barrage from the Flames, without Price its a easy blowout for CGY)

3..Lost 3-2 (OT) in Vancouver, they started the game 2-0 until the second half of the 3rd when they tied 2-2.

4.Lost 6-2 against Calgary at home Sunday

5.And tonight they get destroyed 5-0 by Chicago (hey at least it was an elite team )



and apparently it was an ugly game from the get-go. Poor execution, poor team cohesion, and stubborn stupidity by Therrien. He's making poor decisions when it comes to bench management, his reluctance to play the young players(but crappy vets play all day) , role assignements to players and icetime distribution for a year. Under Jacques Martin, PK Subban was used in every situation, including the penalty kill, and he was very good at it. But Therrien uses him like he would use an uni-dimensional offensive D like Marc-Andre Bergeron. PK is a top flight all-situation D, use him like that. Sheesh.

6. If they lose to Buffalo tomorrow, and have a bad stretch (like losing 8 of their 10 next games )
I can see Michel Therrien getting
7.And DD-Pacioretty....DD is so , but he gets top offensive minutes, first wave powerplay, best wingers, sheltered minutes and situations (only used offensively) and 100% faceoff starts in the offensive zone. Therrien gives him all the ressources to kill it, and he still struggles. Time to trade the bum.


8.Galchenyuk should be promoted to first C position. He's hungry for it and its obvious he will kill it there. Gilbert and Weaver are not nhl-calibre d right now.

If he had just shut his mouth and played his role he'd be our 2nd line center right now.

He was playing great for us on the 3rd line scoring goals and learning to play the game. But he wasnt satisfied and wanted everything at once. So he gets dumped to buffalo and gets thrust into a role he wasnt ready for. He never learned to play defense and now looks useless. Hes still young but hes never going to amount to anything in buffalo. That team is a mess.

Of course a lot of the cody situation was caused by av.. I despised AV the whole time he was here. I hate that smug fukk. Never seen a coah get out coached so consistently with such a stacked team we had. We got to the cup despite avs coaching.

Av loves shytty plugs. Cant believe the rangers signed tanner glass. Guy was one of the woat canucks but av loved him like he loved other bums like aaron rome. Av plays favourites and loves shytty grinders. If youre a tweener 2/3 offensive player youre getting scratched. Rangers fans have a rude awakening coming.

And i still hate the hdgson trade if only because im not a fan of kassian and never was. Hes shown nothing more than being a 3/4 line player. He doesnt seem very bright. When hes not being a reckless idiot hes not utilizing his size and trying to be a perimeter skill player.

I think it was two years ago when kassian started somewhat hot then faded. Dude sucks, canucks just got scared because they got pushed around by boston and chicago, instead of just drafting big or signing a big forward in free agency they did that trade. But but he's the next big bert , I agree dude is a 10-14 minute player a game that's it, in the new nhl dudes like him aren't even needed, skilled forwards, gritty forwards who are smart and fast and have a d man who is scrappy and can throw hands like bieksa
