Imo nipsey new music is def not the same as when he did the bullets aint got no name series. His flow and beat selection is not the same. Sounds like to me he switched his style up to fit in or sound more mainstream. Yes i know, he showing growth by not doing all the gangbangin on wax, but damn i miss those funky westcoast produced tracks he had

In general I prefer Nips new style of music, song topics, and focus, but I just wish he would spit a little more on the mic like he used to. I can dig a few tracks where he's just talking on the mic to change it up, but overall Nip need to spit more on the mic. Marathon & TMC was his best balance of him doing that. He was still spitting hard on those tapes.

I really like these last 2 projects even though he's spitting alot less. I hope he steps up his spit on Victory Lap.
