Tana gotta drop the HFF to the floor and probably should drop it in the ring as well. This man clearly has late stage Mutoh knees but I do not foresee a Shining Wizard/Puroresu Love resurgence and style change for Tana to extend his career another 10 years in any meaningful role. He's more busted up than all of the NJ Dads besides Tenzan.

I'm not trying to predict anything about Tana. He's knees are obviously shot and I would like him to drop the HFF at least to the floor for his sake. The only thing I'm predicting about him is he's not going to have the same resurgence and change up that Mutoh had at the start of the millennium when his knees were shot and he seemed completely broken down.

I'm not predicting some big injury to Tana, just that I'd like him to drop the moves that have destroyed his knees because it's a bummer seeing him hobble around in obvious pain all the time because I assume he's going to be one of those puro dudes in the vein of Tenryu/Fujinami/Mutoh that wrestle into their late 50s and 60s and I don't want to see Tana the gawd embarrassing himself.

Tanahashi's knees being shot was actually part of the plot of that film My Dad Is A Heel Wrestler he starred in. Storywise it was the reason he couldn't do his babyface finisher anymore (the HFF with an altered name) and became a heel wrestler.

In hindsight, it's incredible New Japan was able to find an Ace prospect like Shota so quickly. It normally takes like 5 years or so for them to get a legit Ace or big main eventer talent so when Kitamura was gone they could've been in "trouble" in this regard. But Shota came right up and unless tragedy happens, they are set for the next decade basically.
