Cuaron wins the DGA for Best Director
I have no fukking idea what will win March 2nd
Historically there's only been like two or three cases where the Academy diverted from the DGA so this seems to put Cuaron on lock for Best Director. Guess 12 Years will be getting the consolidation prizes.

Can I just say how happy I am that Michael Fassbender finally got a well deserved nomination? He continually puts in that work whether it's with his Steve McQueen directed efforts, WTF movies like Prometheus, small but meaningful parts in Inglorious Basterds, or big budget films like X-Men. If he's on the marquee then you can guaran-damn-tee he's going to put in a great performance. He's not winning, but I'm happy he finally got the nod. 
Alfonso has the best directing nod on lock. Been saying it since forever ago. Doesn't mean gravity will win best picture but I will be shocked if he doesn't win best director

nah breh. its between matthew and leo. they've won all the pre-oscar awards and its either gonna be a lifetime achievement award like kobe winning the 08 mvp for Leo (not that he wasnt great)or one for MM.

but i dont think ejiofor gets it as much as people on the coli are riding for him..he was good just not GREAT other than maybe the closing scene. I'd put bale ahead of him too

Alright brehs, here is who I think will win Best Actor and why he will win. Matthew Maconahey, I have locked in my prediction. He will win because he went full retard in that movie, shut that shyt down. It is literally the exact opposite of the type of roles he usually does, and the academy loves that. Hands down excellent performance, and I bet them Hollywood voters are watching True Detective too. They are probably thinking, this nikka can really act 
.So he is getting buzz from that show too. It aint a fluke, and he aint going to do some shytty movie like Boat Trip a la Cuba Gooding after he wins his Oscar.
Leo Dicaprio wasn't even nominated in the Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Lead Actor. Every single nikka that won Best Lead Actor at SGA (in the last 10 years) has gone on to win the Oscar and Matthew won the SGA for Best Lead Actor for 2014.
