I'm not sure man... if the actors themselves didn't think it was the best picture, will the academy? WOWS, i can't believe it is dry like this.

It won Best Cast.....a small difference, but hopefully an important one.

I don't have a problem with the film winning for it's cast as I thought everyone was pretty great in the film. The film itself is a different story.

Hopefully this isn't a precursor to the Oscars.

True. I thought the script was very weak but it was saved by great actors. It's more a movie that's shown on TBS in 10 years then "art", imo

Plus to be fair, it is the highest grossing flick of all time, it was going to get nominated on the strength of that alone. since they opened it up to 10 slots I'd love for a good summer blockbuster to win one of these days

Actually the percentage of actors that make the Academy is pretty low, I want to say 25% some number like that but definitely not a majority.
