I'm always impressed with how Gunn blends realism with fantastical or weaves between comedy and drama so effortlessly. For me, it never feels like anything is out of place and the tonal shifts are never jarring

Unless you've watched ahead, she got that fukkin work...fine in a one on one due to writers favor but if this was Hawkeye or echo they would've beat everyone's ass and walked out with the biggest dudes leather jacket on

Seems like Gunn also silently retconned the fireflies from Season 1 by only mentioned that Team Peacemaker saved the world it the recap but not from what. There were no actual scenes of the fireflies taking over bodies or the final battle. Only scenes included in the recap was the ones with his father that was the B or C plot in Season 1 if I remember correctly. I bet Gunn was handcuffed by the old regime and only used the fireflies because he couldn't use anything major. No that he's in charge I wonder if we ever see/hear about the fireflies ever again.
