I will say that this hire does make me believe that the Steelers are finally realizing that QB development is very important.

McCarthy will have the QB playing well

I personally like the idea of having him as coach. More emphasis on the offense.

We desperately need an overhaul on our offensive philosophy. We need to get up to date. Mike T obviously can get us into the playoffs but not enough firepower to compete on the playoffs

I said some;thing similar in the McCarthy thread. Assuming defense is the same/improves if MM can get shyt right on the offense end, could yield good results.

Canada and Arthus Smith are trash offensive minds.

Woke up to this shyt but I already knew this was going to happen because they’re going to resign Rodger’s. How many years was he signed for, like someone else said I could see this being a bridge hire which is something we never see but what young coach would even want to come here with this roster? Hopefully they can make some magic in the next couple of years but personally I’m not excited about this

Why rush the hire of McCarthy when no one else wanted him?

Why not interview (or conduct a 2nd interview) the coaches who coached during the conference championship (Klint Kubiak, Chris Shula or Nate Scheelhaase)?

Also, could've interviewed Mike McDaniel, Joe Brady, and Sean McDermott.
