The main take away I got from this is that the chasm between South American and European football is growing. Never have a seen South American football in almost shambles. Next years Copa America will be interest because there will be some of the same faces but some new ones. But when you look at how football is developing in Europe through their academies and see their youth development is way ahead of that of Latin America. This does not bode well in the long term.
