He's in this season as a real ghost. The new show is actually a supernatural thriller about him haunting Tyreek and eventually helping him break Tasha out of prison. The trailers only look like that to lure in the audience

Nothing else is on right now so they might as well have aired it sooner since its completed instead of us having to wait until September. I'm hearing the chi isn't worth watching, so the only thing to look forward to is season 8 of Wentworth.
