On one of her lives a fan asked why Monet wasn't surprised when she learned that Donte was Mecca. Her dumbass explanation was "Deep down as a woman you just kind of know about your partners"
But in the episode Monet told Cane to send her a pic of Mecca

Ehhh I get what she’s saying as Monet would know more about “Dante” the person than any other character on the show and how he operates. You could see it in their previous interactions with their conversations and how she’d talk him down and levy threats at him.
“Mecca” is a different story though considering that he didn’t become the snitch and drug power player that he did until the years after left. It would make sense why she didn’t put two and two together that they’re the same person. With that being said, Mecca could have snitched his way out of trouble the first time and into the army for all we know, but Monet likely wouldn’t have known that as well.
It’s a simple explanation, but of course Kemp complicates it and made it more deep than it had to be
