With all the crackheads out and about in 1991, was it realistic for a rich white girl to experiment with crack in 1991? It would be more believable when the crack epidemic started, like 1984.

Also, by 1991, crack had been looked at in a very poor light because people knew the effects. People were still smoking, but as alluded to, she would have known better. She's rich, but the city was riddled with addicts.

Exactly. Which raises another interesting point, why don't we see addicts roaming the streets in the show like there were back then?

What I'm try to say (poorly) was that back then it would have been more realistic to tell a "story" about killing "Don Luciano" and the other heads of the five families, than to write a song basically claiming to be involved in an actual neighborhood killing. I think 1991 is a couple of years early for the audience to expect him to be 100% literal.
