To use Goodfellas as an example. This show is like watching the beginning of Henry Hill, but know he's supposed to be Tommy DeVito/Joe Pesci eventually. Just a weird narrative.

I legit think they saw the negative reaction to Tariq's character and feared making him "Unlikable"

It's already getting old, the relationship and the singing. I'm only giving this one a pass because it was worth it for that scene with her and Raq later in the ep.

Good episode. Had to cleanse my eyes after watching The Chi season finale

I’m enjoying this season overall and I’m liking the conflict they’re setting up between Uncle Marv and Raquel down the line due to Kanan’s manipulation and Marv’s greed

Another meh episode.

Omar Epps tried to go all Training Day on the rookie cop but his delivery felt flat imo.

Especially after seeing him running like a 80 y.o.. He was slow even with the edits

He wasn't faking that chest burn that's for sure.

As for the ep....too much fukking for a gangsta biography. Don't get me wrong, I am ALL FOR RAQ, but damn...it feels like they are trying to pull the same siht Power did: Belly meets The Young and the Reckless.

The only thing keeping me watching is knowing what a savage Kanan was and sooner or later we will see it on screen.
