Nerds speak to us regular folks wtf why is this good?
Means potentially much faster speed if you get a quality SSD.

You guys have nothing to worry about. Consoles are all about compromises and developers keep the slow ass 5400 RPM drives as the target as that is what they ship with.

If you want a performance boost that won't cost more than the system itself, grab an SSHD.

brehhh, I just tried to do this. I thought oh it'd be as simple as it is on my xbox one...

WRONG!

ps4 really tries to give the user an headache.

It's a complete pain in the ass swapping hard drives from PS4 :snoop:

I have my Pro paid off already but I dread the first night when I have to sit here and wait for these fukking things to transfer all my shyt:martin:

It take like 2 minutes

False. Once I take my 2TB hard drive out my current one and put it in the new one its gonna wipe everything. Then imma prolly do the ethernet transfer and just let them shyts go overnight. It ain't as simple just install and play...

TYRONE GA!
I'm skeptical that it's gonna make that much of a difference

when I first got a SSD for my PC, I was still on SATA2, but the improvement was very noticeable. going from SATA2 to 3 was less noticeable. it's the kind of thing you're only gonna notice if you're actually looking at disc write speeds and such

I think the way the PS4 handles data just doesn't benefit much from a SSD (compared to a PC). I would at least wait for benchmarks before running out and buying a SSD for the Pro. I'm pretty sure it will make a difference, but I'm just not sure it will be enough to justify the cost (and limited space) of a SSD

Love the ssd in my ps4
