Yeah I just wanted to see how they'd try and top the last one, and I was likeshyt was trash. It's a 90 minute movie that takes close to 70 minutes to get to the real action and than it's over in ten minutes of gore montage.
First half of the movie is so banally slow it's mind boggling. An opening scene that achieves nothing, a basic plot premise (Rambo's surrogate daughter is kidnapped in Mexico) that is made unnecessarily convoluted at every turn with at least four side characters that could be thrown in the trash without losing anything of value. Consider that the direction and acting overall is telenovela bad as well and it is just sad that Stallone allowed this to become the final Rambo film after 4 ended it so strongly.
People only caring about ridiculous gore (and the gore here is next level gore) might get some satisfaction from the final 15 minutes but overall this is one disappointing flick.
at least the violence was satisfying. The cartel was so fukking cliche.
I liked the flick, but it was predictable. The violence with the Home Alone traps was on another level. 
With that being said, the 2008 film was a way better movie.

The 2008 joint was better, but this was solid for what appeared to be a very low budget.
