I hate the weekends because customers like to bring their WHOLE family to the store just to walk around just to look at stuff and maybe buy something, meanwhile their bad ass kids are just running around the store screaming and yelling and knocking everything down having all the staff looking like cause we giotta clean that shyt up.

Ghetto ass people are the worst... and I mean Tyler Perry levels of ghetto because they always want the most expensive ass products but never have the money... then they get mad at you for it being expensive:

Customer: I want a 60" smart tv but I only want to pay $400, where that at?

Me: That don't exist, we got these 60 inch smart tvs on sale right now for $1000

Customer: Why they cost that much?! My cousin got a tv from the pawn shop for half that price

Me: ...was it a smart tv?
Customer: Whats "smart"?
Me: So you want a smart tv but don't know what it does?
Customer: My cousin got one so I want one too, can I put down $100 on layaway?
Me:

shyt is ridiculous, I deal with those same kids a few evenings a week. They all over in the bicycle isle riding and skateboarding around store like it's Six Flags. Parents don't say shyt, then wanna get mad when they fall and get hurt on something.

When I was younger and worked at Walmart I sold at least 300 ipads to ghetto families and each one I had to waste at least 45 minutes to explain all the features that an ipad does because they didn't know how to operate it and only really wanted an ipad cause their friends had one and they just wanted to watch youtube videos on it... gave me a headache everytime.

Customer: We want to get that 55" tv over on display right there
Me: Ok, let me grab a rolling cart, the tv, and I will meet you at the register
Customer: Ok sounds great
Me: (scanning tv), ok your total will be $855
Customer: Oh, we were thinking of putting that on layaway
Me: we only do layaway at Christmas time.
Customer: So there is no way I can make payments like that for this?
Me: We do offer a credit card
Customer: Oh no I can't do that, we will check some other place, you guys should offer layaway year round.

Customers think they slick when they mention the competition. Some time last week, I jump on a register to cut the line down. I'm ringing up one of my employees and she's looking for a coupon in the book. The lady behind her says, can't you ring me up while she does that. I say, I can't until she pays first. The lady says, this is why I go to the competition. I'm thinking like, fukk if I care. She got two gift cards and was getting mad cuz I wasn't being delicate with one. Best buy gift cards are different so you gotta rip the cover off to reveal the strip to activate. I was tearing it and she's like no you gotta do it neater, it's a gift. The worse is when the competition is closed so their customers come in. Mainly on certain holidays. I remember it happening back in the day when I was at Winn Dixie and publix was closed on thanksgiving. People coming in already upset cuz they don't shop there so they extra bytchy.

breh the town I am in just give or take has that ONE supermarket in town so we get customets from all over..there is a completely new supermarket opening up in our town in september....if im still working there I cannot wait....they can take our customers....it gets to a point if being ridiculous...I know its a job people but its like in the daytime you get no CHANCE at all to talk to your coworkers...its not just the issue of someone buying.. people gotta shop...but its like folks cant ask questions without bein forced

in high school it amazed me that people cant understand basic drive thru rule/etiquette. People would actually skip in front of cars that already ordered, and then act like I was an @sshole for telling them you cant cut people off who already ordered.
many people also drove straight past the speaker/ordering board and tried to order everything right at the window

If someone ever cut in front of me at the drive thru It would be WW3 in that place.

One thing I can't stand is when people come in to a store, all on their cellphone asking you questions and trying to hold a conversation with whoever they are talking to at the same damn time. It's either finish your call first or hang up and then I can help you. Be wanting to grab their phone or Bluetooth piece and punt it like 5 isles over

@King Poetic you probably noticed me bringing up this job in every damn thread and said to yourself this nicca Black rreign is going overboard it cant be that bad itas been only 2 days for u breh...its gonna get worse....wait til november and december...the putting money on the counter thing is exceedingly annoying...however I like some of them do it that way...BUT STILL pick it up themselves and hand it to you...those are classy..but others not only leave it there but leave it for you to reach out far....breh have you gotten the people who hand you their entire collection of keys to search for it yourself or say something like "you know better than me" when they ggive up searching which card it is on the chain....if you havent.....its coming notice you said women in your post....so I was never being sexist......it was true its 96 them most the time...although its only 2 days a week this job is gonna make you skeptical older woman and be a learning experience in life...
