possibly if he had a very defined agenda it would draw more powers that be and their minion interest groups to target him and attempt to take him down/silence him. Target the networsk that air his content etc

So why not at least try it?

Instead, you make a show that mildly embarrassed a few politicians and got one guy to quit who was already leaving anyway, while most people sorta said, "meh" in the end.
