Somebody on RealGM said it best about us:
"One positive is that San Antonio has always done a great job getting their guys to sign for less than they could get elsewhere. Duncan did it, Ginobili did, even Parker. They've got Danny Green on a slick contract, Kawhi still on his rookie deal.
They also are never one of those desperate teams that gives a guy a big contract just because he's there and they feel like they need to keep him. If Gary Neal and Tiago Splitter get big offers elsewhere, the Spurs won't hesitate to let them walk. They do a great job of finding the underrated guys and getting them for cheap - bruce bowen in the old days, danny green now. I bet they find one random free agent this offseason and turn him into a key piece. Watch Timofey Mozgov get signed to a 3 year, 6.4 million dollar deal and then end up turning into a really solid role player for them. Watch Corey Brewer sign fairly cheap and become a really solid role player for them. Watch Tony Allen take less than the MLE so he can be a real championship contender. Watch JJ Redikk sign there and take over that Ginobili spot, and start playing the best ball of his career.
Someone will sign in San Antonio, and it won't be a big-time max free agent type. Those guys always get overpaid, and the Spurs tend not to overpay people."
