Manu needs to go man. He's just not Manu anymore. If we do have another shot next year, we need to add some new pieces. Bring back Duncan, Parker, and Kawhi. Hopefully add enough big who's tougher than Splitter, upgrade the 2 position and add more key bench players.

Ya'll need a combo guard who can create offense for himself and others... a legit replacement for Manu. Another big and another 3 and D wing to fill in the void left by Captain Jack.

Those three things with the guys you already have and you all can get back to the Western Conference Finals pretty easily IMO.

Somebody on RealGM said it best about us:

"One positive is that San Antonio has always done a great job getting their guys to sign for less than they could get elsewhere. Duncan did it, Ginobili did, even Parker. They've got Danny Green on a slick contract, Kawhi still on his rookie deal.

They also are never one of those desperate teams that gives a guy a big contract just because he's there and they feel like they need to keep him. If Gary Neal and Tiago Splitter get big offers elsewhere, the Spurs won't hesitate to let them walk. They do a great job of finding the underrated guys and getting them for cheap - bruce bowen in the old days, danny green now. I bet they find one random free agent this offseason and turn him into a key piece. Watch Timofey Mozgov get signed to a 3 year, 6.4 million dollar deal and then end up turning into a really solid role player for them. Watch Corey Brewer sign fairly cheap and become a really solid role player for them. Watch Tony Allen take less than the MLE so he can be a real championship contender. Watch JJ Redikk sign there and take over that Ginobili spot, and start playing the best ball of his career.

Someone will sign in San Antonio, and it won't be a big-time max free agent type. Those guys always get overpaid, and the Spurs tend not to overpay people."

First lemme give that heat def credit. From transition d to half court d they were on point. Green got exposed as a catch and shoot player only. Must work on ball handling. Kahwi beast but pop needs to take the leash off. I feel like we haven't seen his full arsenal. Parker wasn't the same after injury. Bad decisions. Shot wasn't on.that's why I think they wouldn't have beat okc. Durant and Westbrook in constant attack mode too much for spurs.

But brewer and JJ wanna get paid. Players who sign for cheap r going to miami or la.Spurs keep signing castoffs d league guys and euros but its time to be a major player in free agency.

Absolutely the most underrated aspect of the last two games. Heat were great on defense

really hard last couple days. honestly for me game six was the real blow. just kinda numb to it now. ready to move on. dont want to care about sports for while. i hate that it had to end like that for timmy. between his lights out play this year, the missed layup, his marital problems and his climbing age i dunno. just feels like a perfect opportunity we couldn't deliver on. those post game interviews had me :to::to: something baad

i do think we can still compete next year so its not all bad news. no one will pick us. everyone will underrate us and that's fine.

i know im a new guy but i like the spurs camaraderie here. ive been a fan all my life and i feel welcome.

til next year brehs:salute:
