First ep was good. I actually work in Silicon Valley so some of the subtle things shown and mentioned had me dying.

• The ridiculous offices
• CEO's talking about f*k college as if the programmers and folks that have propelled their business didn't go to college
• Programmers and developers literally doing nothing on a daily basis

What do you do out there?

Finally got caught up with the 2nd ep...like the show, can relate quite a bit from past companies.

I believe the show will last simply because of timing. We're essentially in a .COM 2.0 era with start ups becoming prevalent and major corporations throwing obscene amounts of money at them simply because they fear missing out on something that "could" be good.

This is so true. I'm involved in a startup now. The ink isn't dried yet but the figures that have been thrown at us . We're getting some numbers also because we're black. I'll probably make a thread discussing everything in a thread in a couple weeks, once the paperwork gets situated and I see the $$ in my bank account

DBA for a wireless networking company in the Bay Area. I've talked about it I'm higher learning threads and a little bit in this thread. Never worked for a start up tho. Got a buddy who's a web dev in SF and working for a start up. He says it's fun and complete hell at times.

I feel bad, b/c after I made my post asking what you do. I kept reading and like 20 other ppl responded asking the same thing, in which answered.
That's dope. If your friend does freelance web dev work would you mind linking me to any portfolio (i.e github) pages. I'm currently looking for a web dev on something I'm working on (tbh I'd prefer someone locally to me but I'm having trouble finding that, although I haven't looked extensively smh)

I dig, its all good tho. I actually try to keep quiet about it a bit because coli IT nikkas are subject to ridicule outchea. With regards to the culture you'll find ALL of the antics in this show out in SF. I was out there this weekend and saw one of them Amazon boxes right in the middle of a park and a whole bunch of dudes walking around wearin' Google glass and some people was givin em the face. Lyft is tho

i just finished episode 4, this show is fuccin incredible. i already believe the humor here is better and more subtle than veep early
