I just finished a two day trip to Vail, Colorado. There wasn’t much powder, just slushy, icy terrain.

I pretty much learned how to snowboard at Big Bear & Mammoth, CA, which have wide open runs with not many trees.

Vail is made up of a bunch of ridiculous black diamonds, flat wooded trails and narrow catwalks that go from one region to another. I’m not used to that type of snowboarding. It humbled me quickly and because there wasn’t any powder…each fall felt like I was hitting pavement. I feel like Martin after that boxing match. :francis:

Anyone else ski or snowboard? Anyone going to Black Ski week in February?

Yeah I took up skiing after my son wanted to learn and we took the kids snow tubing. Bunny hill champ right here. Snowboarding is dope but I really like skiing. Just mad fun sliding and maneuvering on snow.

Just finished a weekend in Park City, Utah. Snowboarded the first day, had a much better experience than last year. Corrected my posture after watching a few YTs and got comfortable carving on both sides of the board. This was maybe my tenth time snowboarding or so.

My second day, I tried skiing for the first time ever. Took a morning class, learned the basics, and was doing S curves my first attempt down the bunny slope. I ended up doing green and blues by the end of the day. I think I picked it up so quick because I big wheel rollerblade a lot.

Skiing is sooo much easier than snowboarding.
