Ars lost the faceoff pretty clearly. With that said, one thing that's getting swept under the rug is that Ars destroyed Hollow's excuses about the Fight Klub tournament loss. I'll timestamp it if yall forgot:


Ars made perfect sense. The tournament was 4 battlers. You should automatically have material for all three because you dont know who will beat who. Plus, if Hollow's opponent got switched, then obviously Arsonal's opponent got switched The dinininon just came unprepared. That's why Hollow didn't bother arguing these common sense points

That's always been the case. The thing is back then Hollow came a little under prepared in all his battles. He always had some material prepped and was just gonna freestyle in the rest to fill the gaps. It's why he lost to Verb, too. It's come up over the years in different Hollow interviews and he has pointed that out a few times himself. It came up in a RYD he was in as well.

I think the main reason it even became a flash point over the years is that Ars recycled the same material right after. So Ars in reality wasn't for everyone, he just had a few verses he was prepared to spit at anyone over and over again

Back in this era there's a few cases of dudes thinking it's still kinda like the old days where they expect their opponent to have some prep and also freestyle a bunch getting thrown in the bushes by someone fully prepped. Illmatic got ragdolled twice in the same day by Con and Hollow trying that

Rum Nitty 100-0. He could choke all three rounds and its still a body for Rum.

Twork 2-1. I would really like Verb to kill Twork, he won't though.

Yep he was accustomed to beating people with freestyling. If you can freestyle at a high level, you can beat a lot of writtens, but it can't beat undeniable material. You can't think of shyt fast enough of the spot to beat some well written material.
