Brilliant episode. Best of the series thus far. I experienced legitimate anxiety watching the episode. That skating rink sequence was some of the best television I have ever watched.
The show is simply magic for us born and raised in that era, witnessed the after effects in the 90s as teenagers and then saw the rising of hip hop to the mainstream in the mid to late 90s as adults.
The shows writers are setting up for Franklyn to cop out to the “if I didn’t do it, someone else would” attitude of many of the dealers of the day!
If this show doesn’t win any awards for this episode, that would be a tragedy.

I only wish they put that fight in a scene.
Franklin vs Man Boy looks officially squashed. It's hard to see Andre going THAT hard against Franklin after finding his daughter when even the police couldn't, but Idk.
Makes me think of Jimmy Darmody's son on Boardwalk Empire if you watched that show.
