Franklin slapping and then popping Rob was the highlight of the premier
I like how the series is showing that the more devastation and decay that the black community is suffering the more the people WITHIN the community are slowly becoming conscious and woke to the affects. You can tell Leon isn’t feeling having to be a goon anymore. Jerome and Louie are seriously considering Franklin’s offer of the property buy in so they can go straight and Franklin is trying to fast track his was out of the game.
Why does Franklin keep getting these mid girlfriends?
Its just a theory but I THINK the showrunners are trying to show that Franklin values intelligence in a woman over looks. All of the women he’s been attracted to in the series so far have been intelligent, perceptive, and hard working (like his mother) If you look at the season premier, he barely glanced at the lightskinned chick at the pool party with her t*ts and ass hanging out; he doesn’t think with his little head.
That doesn’t mean the casting directors couldn’t hook him up with some better looking women, but i think narratively thats kind of the point.
Reed getting back in good with the CIA was kind of quick but I understand why they streamlined it. His storylines without Franklin have been the weakest of the series and he’s a better character when he’s paired with Franklin. That final scene of the second episode was MASTERFULLY acted and shot.
I’m expecting next season to be the final season so THIS season means someone close to Franklin will die. Whether that be Jerome or Leon is up in the air right now but I expect by the end of it all both will be dead, Franklin will be in jail, his mother will be the only one who avoids death/prison and Teddy will get off scott free

He bought the horses and they had some time to themselves in the club, only for her to go out (alone) and talk with the cop for that conversation
