Anyone saying Cissy shot Teddy to save Franklin is a dodo head


In Cissy mind, Franklin was as good as dead. She had him in the same file as Jerome and Alton. She shot teddy to avenge all 3, she also wanted Franklin to suffer and you don't see that, you fukking crazy.

Everyone else felt guilty about everything that happened and all Franklin cared about was his money, Cissy ain't like that. shyt is that simple

Word...comparatively speaking, Franklin actually got off lucky at least he has the freedom to have a chance at getting his life together...if he doesn't just spend it on another bottle

She didn't have to do THAT. She wanted him to know what she'd done and why, and that the money was going to good use. I thought Franklin was all about legacy? Or at least that's what he told Unc...

I had a friend growing up named Marcellus...back in HS he was dope with rapping, told everyone he was gonna make it in music...somebody laced his weed with wet and turned him into an addict...I caught him walking around the hood years later and he was talking to himself in broad daylight. I tried to talk to him but he had a 1000 yard stare. His 17 yo self would have cried if he saw his 24 yo self. This episode was a little too realistic

Ma Dukes had a genius of a cousin who graduated from a posh private school at 15 years old and from Harvard at 19. EXACT same sitch as Mel. Cut to some 40 years later and he's chasing her with a hammer - on God, a motherfukking HAMMER - over some change in a vase. Homeboy took many, MANY fists and feet from my old man and some uncles for that shyt.

Life crumbled for Frank fast as fukk, it dawned on me that the breh was only 26-27 and completly washed

I was hoping Franklin got killed or got prison time for all the destruction he caused but him living and becoming a bum is actually better IMO.

He destroyed his friends and family. His father is dead and his mother will spend her life in prison. He has a son that he'll never see. He killed one of his old homies (Kevin) and that white boy from the rich high school. His best friend (Leon) is done with him. His childhood sweetheart is a recovering crackhead. His uncle is dead and his auntie is a wanted fugitive.

Was a big time dope dealer that had the clothes, cars, properties, etc only to end up with with no money, no friends, no family, no respect, and homeless.

Imma watch this again tonight. Such a powerful performance and amazing end to the story

Looking back on it, I think he gave his best acting performance this episode.

That part with Miguel was foul, and def showed there was nothing redeemable about him left. Franklin's ending is much worse than him being dead or in prison because he has to live being everything he despised.

Hands down that is the most depressing and haunting finale to a TV Show Ive ever seen

something's are truly worse than Jail or death. He goes out a martyr with those. If he had his people set up around him he could have come home and told his story but nah the CIA really cleaned his ass out and let him rot on the streets




And hes not even 30, shieet he might not even 26


Also the Boyz in the Hood easter egg in the end was kinda cool
