The whole film he was supposed to be playing someone who was trying their hardest to act like him, that was intentional
Crazy this the first Spidey film to hit a Billy. Really puts things in perspective.
Yeah movies weren’t just making that much money back then. It was a rare. There are now 40 movies that have made a billion dollars. Good bet most of those movies are post 2008. Ticket prices have gone up, and worldwide distribution has increased
This Spider-Man is underwhelming because his come up is welded to Tony's nuts.
"Far From Home" barely qualifies as a Spider-Man film with how much Tony, Nick, and Shield were mentioned or involved. Worked for Cap, but Spider-Man's way too good of a character to need these crutches. Both of his villains were a consequence of Tony's actions. Spider-Man's abilities taking "the next step" are always a result of Tony's involvement. I forgot this Peter was supposed to be some wiz-kid with how much they have him rely on Stark/Shield tech. And they threw away his intrapersonal conflict of Peter vs. Spider-Man now that his identity is out there.
He's been reduced to a vehicle pushing the Avengers narrative. It prevents these movies from standing on their own against the test of time.

Hopefully now they'll cut the Stark Titty off of Pete and let him cook.
They’ve said Mysterio will be the last villain/film related to Tony, everything from here on will be straight up Spidey

Every MCU movie did a Billy this year and one is the highest grossing movie of all time.
But on the flipside I think Marvel Studios has peaked.
I don’t know about peaked, But i definitely feel like it will take a decline hype/sales wise over the majority of phase 4, but will pick back up towards the end of 4 with Thor & Spider-Man, then with 5 leading into Guardians, Black Panther & F4/X MenEvery MCU movie did a Billy this year and one is the highest grossing movie of all time.

Finally watched it this morning and Zendaya 
I was hating on Spider-Man at the end, damn near wanted to jump in the screen and fight him for her love 
Movie was cool tho, the last credit explained why Fury was acting so weird in the film, I was like
the entire time when Sam talked, like he wasn't himself.
I still didn't really understand how the illusions worked, I'm gonna read through this thread, I know yall broke it down for the kid
