I wont speak on the first one, but the 2nd one was piff IMO. They just tried to do a lot too much with the storyline and the setting up of other movies in the universe. If they had stripped down the story a bit and if someone has told jamie Foxx to relax a bit with his portrayal of Max, people would see it for the dope movie it is. Personally I loved it.
