He didn't really breh. He played him as a mute with little to no self confidence. He played the emotional moments really well but he lacked when it came to the spirit and humor of the character. Peter's not depressed all the time and he played him like a sad sack

I still really enjoy spider man 2. Spider man 1 is eh,fairly dated and I always hated goblin looking like a power ranger villai. Spider man 3 is flat out one if the worst films I've ever seen.

Tobey played an okay high school peter. That's it. But he always was terrible at spider man.

But through 3 films he never changed his Peter portrayal. He was the same peter in films 1-3.

Y'all gonna have to decide whether you want the film universe to have its own interpretation of the character or a play by play of the comic
