Vol 2 crashed Netflix servers for about 30 minutes when it dropped.
You can kiss the days of all episodes dropping at once goodbye. Splitting seasons up makes way more sense for these networks.
Word of mouth has a chance to spread, new hype every week/month instead of for just 1 week, etc.
AMC did it first with Walking Dead
This is what worked for cable for decades.
However, streaming services initially wanted to be different from cable and bring in viewers through "instant gratification".
Now, more streaming services are doing weekly or monthly releases of episodes.

This show is officially legendary status. Pop cultural behemoth. It's like LOST meets The Sopranos meets GOT, but better than #1 and #3.
Since they already went this route, I would just have her not come back so that there's a real permanent consequence of a character dying eventhough she don't deserve it. If it was me though...personally, I would have kept Max alive but, killed off Eddie and replaced Max's death with Mike. So maybe Max went to California and Mike stayed behind. When you say there's real consequences this season and that major characters die....to me....it means somebody like him. He's a central character so everybody would have been fukked up about it and Eleven would have went off but, maybe they're saving that for next season.
nah I don't think the relationship that vecna has with the hive-mind is as simply being a mindless tool so much as that I think of it more like how it parallel relationship that Dr.Brenner had with vecna and 11 he try to mold both in to something that they did not want to be . Then we see that again in the past this time with vecna trying molding 11 into to something she did not want to be. And finally with vecna and the hive-mind where on the surface he found someone or something in the hive-mind willing to be mold it by him or so he think. It wasn't in-till this season that the hive-mind let vecna be in control over the upside down world but only to a degree I think we will see the hive-mind double cross vecna.
