Nah this one was pretty fukking bad, they literally have dozens of dead US soldiers thats not watching your hands clean type of thing, and if it where it would start with bringing the murdurers to justice, shyt made no sense and was just lazy writting like the whole season.

If it were real life, then obviously this is true. But this show has always chosen to have the military and the government either care a lot or not care at all about what the heroes of our show are up to. Sometimes they are hunting them down, and sometimes they overlook anything and everything to allow them to live and do their thing and not cause them any problems.

It might be lazy but they've literally been writing it like this since season 1. The military doesn't care (on this show) about their stupid foot soldiers getting killed. They only cared about capturing Eleven, and once she was gone, they didn't give af anymore. Same as earlier seasons. Plenty of government workers and soldiers have been killed by our heroes on Stranger Things without the military caring about it, way before season 5.

Season 5 of The Wire doesn't belong in the bad last seasons convo

I'm confused. I've really never seen anyone say that season 5 was bad as an ending to the show. I know S2 was divisive, but didnt know people hated S5. Definitely my first time seeing it thrown in the same pile as SoA or GoT finales.

I've never heard people say Wire S5 was a bad ending, but I have heard people say it's the worst season of the show. I never hated the last season, personally. S2 was always my least favorite.

Nancy caught how many bodies before she turned 20? The show act like she normal in the head. She's had a trigger finger since the moment they first put a gun in her hand. She rejected Steve because he wanted a normal life. She was the first to call bait on the mind flayer. El has an excuse for be a killer, Nancy loves this shyt.

Something not right with her.

Having her become a journalist is CAP. Her ass should've left college and went Air Force or Army

From what I've seen it's divisive. You are attacking him for saying it's receiving acclaim but you're not attacking the people who are saying the opposite, both things can be true. A 7.9 on IMDB is pretty high for most things, i don't use the site much at all but it's a high score, it's just lower relatively to some other finales from that show

The Coli doesn't like anything. Most people (TikTok, YouTube, Reddit) liked the finale.

Could it have been better? Yea. Is it still a good finale? Yea.

Yeah I was groaning out lous at the screen when I thought they were going to try to make Henry/Vecna overly sympathetic and try to turn him into a victim. I'm glad he said fukk that shyt and embraced the darkness.

It's strange to me that some people seem to have always been watching a different show. I feel like people were expecting huge plot twists, or better writing, etc, and I'm seeing people talk about this finale in comparison to shows like The Wire, or Breaking Bad, etc, and this show (with all due respect) was never a show like that.

This show was always a junk food show. High quality junk food, but junk food. The caliber of writing on this show was never on the level of a show like The Wire, and it never pretended to be. Or even Game of Thrones for that matter, because I see it compared to that a lot too.

Stranger Things after season 2 was always like Marvel type writing to me. Easy to digest. Lots of quips. Not many plot twists (besides the big one is Season 4), not a lot of purposeful misdirection. We pretty much always knew what was going to happen, and the fun part was just getting to the plot beats and character moments that we expected. This was never a show that tried to subvert audience expectations or make a bunch of creatively brave choices.

I saw someone online today that was really upset that Vecna didn't trick Nancy into literally machine gunning some of the kids in the finale last night...LMAO what fukking show were people watching to ever think something like THAT could happen on a show like THIS (which let's be honest, is basically a light hearted family adventure show)?
