The final battle was anticlimactic, the ending underwhelming, they should have just released everything all at once instead of breaking the season up . Even

I don't disagree the battle was anticlimactic, but IMO all CGI battle scenes are. Like, sure they could've added some Demogorgans and Demodogs or some Bats to make the battle seem a little bit more difficult, but it would've just been more CGI fighting for an extra 2 minutes and it would've been the same outcome.
The battle was the thing this season I was least looking forward to. The final battle with the giant monster or the big bad guy is almost always the most boring part of all these type shows and movies.

Mind Flayer was definitely way scarier and better as a cosmic horror entity made out of smoke without a physical body. I said the same thing in season 3 and it's still true in now.

I enjoyed it

Thought they stuck the landing. That said I kinda feel like Linda Hamiltons character was kinda ehh, like she was forced in. And the final vecna fight felt a bit anti climatic. But whatever, society and life sucks so it's nice getting a happy ending once in a while.
Ending with the younger kids playing dungeon and dragons was cool and wondering if El survived or not was a nice twist. I really enjoyed the Matthew Modine cameo even if it was only for a second or two. Considering his importance to the story. Thought they really did an excellent job with Henry/Vecna's back story. It wasn't his fault but choosing to be evil was. And the Montauk easter egg was a cool little touch. And was I the only one really surprised to hear Prince. For younger kids they won't understand but knowing how Prince and his estate are with using his stuff, it was still a oh shyt moment that younger viewers won't understand the shock of it.
