Fair enough, it’s about as ingrained as Judicial Review, from Marbury v Madison to where I don’t think there’s any serious legal challenge to it or possibility of it being overturned.

To go w/ the Roe comparison. Abortion was illegal in several parts of the country before the ruling. And there were movements to reverse Roe from the minute the ink dried on the decision. Presidents and judges openly campaigned on overturning it. And there was the death by a thousand cuts incrimental rulings that got us to Dobbs. There’s nothing similar to that with lifetime tenure.

I agree with you. My point is more that you can’t start these movements without something to start a fire.

I probably am too optimistic and hopeful about Americans to think something like that could happen with overturning something like

Or alternatively, and just hear me out. He realized this shyt would be controversial and challenged at every turn, so he tried to narrow the scope as much as possible, to avoid this happening. And the amount he chose nearly completely wipes out or halves the debt load for 45% of student loan borrowers. And look at the hoops they had to jump through to even grant standing.

Public service loan forgiveness is 120 payments and your loans are forgiven (10 years).

Biden admin can do some creative things with PSLF... even more than the stuff they have done which they deserve kudos for.

And that's not just government. It's teaching, non-profit work, etc.
