Remember how that chick was killing all of the imaginary friends because she felt her former imaginary friend did her wrong and Skippy was willing to let himself get stabbed to death for atonement... that's kind of the same scenario with Amara feeling wronged by God for being locked up for all those centuries and God just may have to sacrifice himself to stop her
