Remember the days when our best players were leo rautins, bill wennington, Jamaal magloire, joel Anthony, Kelly Olynyk, Tristan Thompson and
Corey Joseph

This era is over and well behind us. We have made huge strides since then, We finally have a legit team now at last. The new generation of Canadian basketball players are dominant in most areas of the game. Gen Z era of Canadian basketball > millenials, gen X and boomers eras so far and it’s not even close

We’re not doormats anymore ! We can compete with the best basketball countries on earth.

The bad old days literally. The Scrubb brothers were literally scrub players too. They were named accurately lol

We were such a joke and not even close to being taken seriously

I remember Samuel dalembert, he was a journeyman his best moments in the nba was with the Sixers during the mid 2000s, where he played alongside Iverson and a declining Chris Webber. Otherwise he struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in the league.

He wasn’t even born and raised in Canada but in Haiti. He initially wanted to go to the US and and play basketball for a college there but settled for Montreal lol. So we begged a player who saw our country as backup plan at best lol
