I was starting to get annoyed at the way his armor appears to be almost totally bulletproof. Glad they had the Rhino knock off his chest plate to make you understand he was in real danger.

He’s been in danger over half the time. First episode the robot had to save him. This episode the Jawas knocked him out and baby yoda had to save him. They’ve made him vulnerable and far from perfect even with him getting tossed off the beast he was learning how to ride

he’s the main character he’s not dying in episode 2 you gotta give reasonable leeway

Fun episode, well directed. Love the tech, world building and action. Still a little underwhelmed by the writing

another solid ep. Not blown away by anything yet but im not a star wars nerd either. Baby yoda was a cool lil reveal last ep but boy they were in full merchandise selling mode this ep. Every damn cutaway was to that damn baby. I swear it got more screen time than the mandalorian the star wars franchise will always be in selling mode . Other than that i cant say anything else annoyed me though. Lets hope this story gets fleshed out at some point and its just not the misadventures of the mandalorian the whole time.

I don't understand how to answer your question...it's very clearly set after Return of the Jedi. Mando comments that Imperial credits don't spend. The dude who puts the bounty on Yung Yoda is surrounding by four dirty, raggedy-ass stormtroopers. The galaxy is lawless.

Mando is not Boba's dad, Boba's dad is Jango Fett. Mace Windu decapitated Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones.

Man this show is great, this and Rogue One proves you can move away from the Skywalker story with original characters and still have it be very good.

I suggested that and nikkas talking bout it’d just be star trek

Just rewatched episode 1 and based on events in episode 2 am able to put one particular sequence in more context

when Mando is getting his armor upgraded we see the flashbacks of his childhood and presumably his mom hiding him. The last thing we see is him being placed in something which closes shut to keep him safe. Obviously this plays into him choosing to save Baby Yoda as he must see some of himself in BY and when he kept climbing out of the crib in EP 2, Mando put him back in and closed him shut. The camera work mimicking the way it was done to Mando as a child

Maybe I'm reaching but I feel like that was done purposefully.

Shame Disney bodied the EU works. After Return Of The Jedi, Luke pretty much just went on a lot of the old rules when he started the NJO. Having homies was encouraged , you could get p*ssy just don't be a simp , you force sensitive? No age requirements, we got you!
