i hate that everyone sings in the same tone and there is no feelings in alot these songs. alot of it sounds dead. its a few gems in here.

Yea that's one of my biggest issues with R&B in both the current mainstream and independent scenes, not enough distinctive voices and styles, too many folks singing in the same tone at the same tempo.

Agree. I also hate that there are no “special” voices. Why are there no amazing vocalists anymore? And they’ve never been a dime a dozen but there are usually a couple per generation - all these people sound interchangeable at times - kiana lede, mahalia, khelani, summer walker....SZA and ari Lennox at times
