yet they put cravon gillespie a guy whose fastest time this year and personal best is a wind aided 9.96 as the anchor :dahell:. A guy who that was his first time on that olympic track and he got ran down

Women have won 15 out of the 27 gold medals for the USA (52 out of the 83 total medals).


Imagine if the USA men's basketball team loses to Australia soon :dead:
I wonder how different the standings would look if we just counted men’s medals

Yeah I think some people underestimate the difficulty of picking up a new sport and mastering it at the pro level. Reminds me of those that think NFL players could easily transition to rugby.

But as far as the second point, I can't speak for other places but for public schools in Texas there was no boys volleyball. At that point of the school year there were two sports: football for the boys and volleyball for the girls.

Wrestling too....or was that during basketball?

Every varsity football player did either hoops, track, soccer, baseball or wrestling. Some did 2 extra sports.
