I’m still pro free trade, and believe tariffs are a terrible idea.But... I believe China is a completely dishonest actor and has been engaged in a trade war with the U.S. and other trade partners for a while now.
Trump is just the first president to fight back(albeit in a ill advised way).
The China fukkery was started by, and continues because of China. Labeling it trumps trade war is just anti trump nonsense. The media should be pinning the trade war squarely on China... but trump hate dictates how and what they report now.
