Does the MAGA crowd like this dude? From the outside he sounds like a parody, all the time. But I know sometimes people get attached to bravado and people talking loud against the press.

As much as Maga folks try to pretend to be all patriotic, they’re actually just dumb, lazy, mediocre, cowards who whine louder than everybody else.

Most don’t actually know much about military service or combat aside from action movies and their pog ass cousin/buddy embellishing shyt at the bar.

Pete is vague about the character of his service so as to take advantage of their stupidity. They see he has bronze stars and say “he’s a hero, he knows what he’s talking about!” but they don’t ever read the non-specific citations attached to them because they’re mouth breathers, especially the baby boomer and early millennial crowds. The awards are basically participation awards that say “you’re a commissioned officer and you don’t fukk up too bad, here”.

FAGAT’s are too stupid and lazy to see that he was a part timer, who at one point, was attached to one of the most ruthless brigades in the Army (then commanded by a psychopath lol) and basically waved off to act as a civil affairs officer (handing out get it done/reparations cash to community leaders after a mistake or if they needed to make a meeting happen or tamp down sectarian violence.) because he was useless.
