I know everyone wants to root for Iran because this is possibly one of the stupidest things Trump has done.
But we also have to stop pretending like they’re actual doing strategy. Or that the u military isn’t as advanced as it is.
In an ideal work Trump pulls out.
But we’re just as likely to see this get really ugly

it's honestly pretty weird perhaps even inexcusable when the "left" engages in alternative history/facts for the most tyrannical groups on the planet
unprompted one even came in to claim China has never committed a genocide(a blatant lie)
as far as Iran goes even putting aside their history of terrorism and internal repressions their treatment of their neighbors has been absolutely bloodthirsty and as ruthless as the great powers of yesteryear
Iran has a strategy of deterrence. Their end goal is to impose costs so high that neither the gulf countries nor US will support attack against them in the near future.
I dont think there is anything that can deter Israel, but making the US and the Gulf hesitate will have to suffice.

What have them gained from their government engaging in proxy wars, wars with Iraq and a nuclear pursuit that has led to punishing sanctions.
Trump is dolt; but why were they willing to give more if the intentions were pure?
You know what’s crazy. I don’t even know if they believe that, but they knew they could sell Trumps dumbass on it.
This isn’t a conspiracy theory as it was Israeli policy. Netenyahu allowed money from places like Qatar to flow to Hamas because they prefer Hamas in power over more moderate organizations like the PLO because they wanted to use it to delegitimize the Palestinian cause and talks of two state solutions on the global stage. Netenyahu has verbalized this exact reasoning himself and past Israeli government officials have stated this is the goal. It’s much easier politically to encroach upon Palestinian lands if you can paint their leadership as being irrational extremists who are impossible to negotiate with.
They are going to run the same play in Lebanon to justify conquering southern Lebenon as well. Instead of helping the Lebanese government tackle Hezbollah in a collaborative effort, they will simply label their government as incapable of the task regardless and justify their occupation of southern Lebanon as necessary for their security.
Israel is a colonial state. They want Gaza, West Bank, parts of Syria, Lebanon, and possibly Egypt and Jordan to expand their Lebensraum. They want extremist leaders in these areas to make the casus belli easier to declare.
