President Obama had it right.
President Biden should have went back to JCPOA and further negotiated with Iran from that point. Re-entering the deal in 2021 would have been a sign of good will after Trump’s recklessness in 2020.
I really think Obama did but I'm not sure if Iran ever intended to abide by it.
Absolutely and I feel Biden tried but from what I remember Iran was unwilling to and then other crises emerged and they both just moved on. In retrospect maybe Biden and company weren't the best at walking and chewing gum but they had a lot of stuff on their plate after Trump's first term and a lot of other crazy shyt happening(remember covid?). Iran also made the stupid decision to supply Russia with missiles and drones in 2021 or early 2022(I think that really f'd them with a lot of goodwill from Europe). I also imagine Iran saw the risk of Trump being re-elected as real which could make it all pointless again.
I've read the same articles and papers as you guys have since I was a teen. The Iranian government has made a series of absolutely disastrous decisions and overplayed their hand and it finally caught up with them. I still really can't get my head around it. Overhyping their domestic arms industry particularly their missile capability was unbelievably stupid in retrospect. This is all said completely setting aside all the evil shyt that they choose do internally to their own people that I oppose.
Ironically Oct 7 supercharged this entire cluster fukk of a collapse of Iran's partners, lead to Trump being put in office, and now we are here
that's how I currently see things
