This is genuinely a two-party thing.

We keep falling for surface level shyt and not things that matter. Their bombing Iran with zero fear of political ramifications is an example of that.

I wouldn't claim otherwise, but voters are just as much to blame as politicians, if not more.

If voters actually cared about things like not starting wars they could vote differently. To me it's not "falling" for something if the majority of the population just doesn't care about the US supporting heinous war crimes and is more concerned about DEI or what sports leagues a treh can enter.

You are too into your feelings to fully grasp what I'm saying.

Nope will only be Udied and only because it’s already empty. Iran has too many commercial links with Qatar and the UAE to strike either without warning. I guarantee we will also soon read they sent a diplomatic warning via a third country letting the US know it’ll strike Udied.

In other words this means little.

LOL so MAGA spent days trying to appease their "anti-war" wing that this time it's different. It won't be another Iraq because regime change is not on the table...

Then Trump steps all over it

What is your opinion on Iranians threatning to close the Hormuz strait ?
Do you think they'll do it or they'll just disrupt it enough to mess with global transport fees ? Or maybe they'll do nothing after those symbolic strikes ?

I seriously doubt itll happen. They have shown themselves to be a fundamentally rational actor, focused on self preservation above all. Closing the Strait would be economic suicide for them. The other country most exposed to a closure is their closest Gulf ally (Oman). I think therell be more sabre rattling but little action in that space.
