Official War With Iran Thread

So far the war has accomplished nothing. Forget that Trump and his admin are lying and that Israel is obviously pulling the strings. They said that part out loud.

So far, what's really happened? Some countries are on the brink of economic collapse. Here in the states, we've already seen gas prices rise 35% and counting and now airlines and everyone else is going to start pushing their bills on us.

There's been no sign of retreat from Iran. There's zero sign that the people don't back the government. They are also moving very strategically and blowing up all of our shyt on GCC bases. Israel from what I hear is getting pummeled.

What's been accomplished?

Impossible challenge: discuss the failings of Russia/iran/China, etc without mentioning the United States

This right here is what's wild to me. I have no issues with discussing and debating a topic to leave that conversation to agree to disagree or at least see the other perspective. But all of their grievances are grounded in their dismay for the US and if you point that out, you're "cheerleading" for the US. I asked a very direct question about Ukraine and Russia ignoring the west and got crickets.

I don't need anyone to tell me how corrupt, entitled, and power hungry this country is - I've literally seen it first hand. There are no good guys on the geopolitical spectrum, absolutely NONE of the global power players are good guys and they're not trying to be. The goal is the security and prosperity of one's country/homeland.

My family is blessed and fortunate to have made the life we have, despite the bullsh*t, I am a pragmatist and I understand some of the nuance of why our nation does a lot of what it does, that doesn't mean I agree with it or cheer it on. Anyone sincere about discourse doesn't need to lean on a singular argument to justify why the sun rises and their credit card's APR increased again.
