You are right about the reporting, specially with how important the strait is.

All I've read lately, besides the US government spamming videos with blown up boats like it's COD, is stuff like this from random people. I have no clue how accurate any of this is but if a simple speedboat can be easily tinkered to lay those mines, then they are kinda screwed with stopping Iran from doing it.

Again, no clue how real it is but if true, it feels like destroying hundreds of TELs and Iran still being able to throw those bullshyt drones because they can do it from a truck that takes a couple of days to make them operational for launching stuff :dead:

This is what I assumed.

The boats they use to patrol there waters is probably what they would use to lay mines.

Those giant warships Hegesbro was bragging about don’t drop mines. And I doubt Iran has even done it. Just playing mind games.

Crazy that Trump-Netyahoo might end up making the current regime stronger inside Iran just by surviving.

None of their neighbors liked them before this so it’s not like they are losing allies.

America looks like an unprepared fool and bully after beating up on Venezuela and Cuba but not be ready for Iranian fallout.

The shyt about the drones is facts. That's been confirmed a hundred times over. There's been deep dives by respected publications. The funny thing is when I was talking about the drones (I got the facts from independent sources and military personnel) people in here thought I was bullshytting. They cost between $20k-$50k a piece which is nothing when it comes to war and Iran has the ability to produce more than 500/day. They have thousands of those drones.
I'm not talking about the drones themselves, they have thousands in storage most likely and will keep making them during the war and after it.

I'm talking about the TELs, the stuff used to launch them. No matter how many "fancy" launchers the US/Israel destroy (and boy have they destroyed a fukk ton already) they can't keep Iran from making shyttier TELs that still work because those drones can be launched from pretty basic vehicles with basic tinkering.

Which is why Iran keeps throwing them mfs like they are rocks and shyt :dead:

Man Cuba is gonna have it tough because you know the U.S is gonna OD on them to make that W as big as possible after this retarded operation that honestly has accomplished jackshyt (for their interests) in the bigger picture.

remember there's a weight/hp/space issue to contend with

one of those small boats could maybe lay one or two mines at a time(granted they're real, not underground, have fuel, working engines, a crew, and can make it to sea along with other variables I'm not even listing or thinking of lol)

Thing is, they don't need to put thousands of mines out there. Just the threat of having them plus the work to take them out, plus the work to protect tankers plus the fear of getting bombed are enough of a formula to keep away from the strait. There's a reason why the US ships still haven't gone ahead and do escort missions for tankers to go through, it's evidently still dangerous to do so and not worth the risk. You add the variable of mines and it's more of a pain in the ass.

I'm kinda with @Json in thinking Iran hasn't even put mines out there and it's all a bluff + fearmongering, though.

Yeah, the threat or saying they already did it is all they really need without wasting the men

it's 50km wide they're not escorting anything with a ship.... maybe helicopters

one of the gulf states was shooting shaheeds down with a helicopter cannon a few days ago
