if oladipo was 6 6 or 6 7 :blessed: perfect fit for the team, i need some otto porter tho :damn:

the wizards are in a place where just draft the best fukking player available please. don't trade it, don't draft a 'project' like that fukkhead vesley

a 3 like shabazz or otto would be nice, a backup guard to rotate with beal and wall like oladipo or mclemore, a big but still not dominant enough front court player like alex len whose only getting better tho (terps fan too :manny:)

so basically as long as this shyt management goes into the draft and drafts the best player available, we will likely get a player whose worth a shyt this year

AND NO ANTHONY BENNETT EITHER PLEASE, :deadrose: TO WHOEVER SAID THAT CAUSE ITS TRUE

:duck: to us getting the first pick, the lottery is a scam, its handpicked by the stern. but that shyt is for another thread. just be :blessed: we got wall the year we were due for one

Sums up my feelings as well. I just hope they don't trade the pick. Wall and some of the players keep talking about trading it and you got to know management wants to do it. But they possibly can't after watching Steph Curry right now.

If we drafted Curry in 2009, we still had that Arenas/Butler/Jamison group. What Curry is doing right now shooting behind the arc like its nothing and pulling up off the dribble sort of reminds me of Gilbert. Curry is more efficient though and shoots in the 40s from 3 consistently.

aint no steph curry in this draft tho. and no way our player development gonna create a star outta a late lottery pick

and of course we get a decent team a year too early, there goes our chance at the wiggins sweepstakes... even when we got a good team we still got shyt to complain about :why:

there's some guys in the second round i think could be :gladbron:

first rounds looks :gag: with so many international players that probably won't even come over to play for 1-3 years :beli: thats why i dont suggest trading down.

but second round has some small school players that i think can play: james ennis out long beach, nate wolters the cac pg out of south dakota who was nominated for the wooden. cj leslie, andre roberson, tony snell all seem like people that could contribute

i know finding a second round player worth a shyt is difficult for grunfeld and the wizards management :beli: but grab an athletic wing who could score in college and see what happens

and for fukk's sake trust in america this year in the draft  the ncaa is great competition i dont give a fukk about the french div 2 league or the spain B league some of these prospects play in :beli: there's maybe 8-9 ncaa players who didn't make the ncaa tournament or NIT (pierre jackson) this year on the current draft board

alright i'm off my soapbox

Not technically offseason stuff, but...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...den-states-couldve-been-wizards-making-noise/
Curry’s desires to join the Wizards as the fifth pick in the 2009 are well known by now, just as the names Mike Miller and Randy Foye continue to haunt the franchise. The Wizards dealt the No. 5 pick to Minnesota the day before the NBA draft, balking on the chance to take either Curry or Ricky Rubio, the Timberwolves’ eventual choice.
The Wizards didn’t trade the sixth pick in 2011 but have received minimal, at best, production from Jan Vesely, who went five spots ahead of Thompson. At the time, the Wizards weren’t looking for a shooting guard because the team was still developing Jordan Crawford and Nick Young was about to become a restricted free agent. Crawford and Young are both already gone.
:wow:

Don't get it twisted - I'll ride w/our current backcourt all day. But to think of a hypothetical Steph/Klay (NTM maybe Harden) nucleus...:ohlawd::wow::sadbron:

No all-defensive votes for the 5th best D in the league :wtf:

Crazy. Okafor, Ariza and Nene all deserved votes.

But people look at the record and we started so badly.

Looking to the draft and assuming we pick 8th, my targets are:

1. PF/C Kelly Olynyk
2. C Alex Len
3. PG/SG C.J. McCollum
4. SG Victor Oladipo (if he falls)

If we come by means of another 1st round pick my target would be Glen Rice Jr. He dominated against NBDL competition and was MVP of the finals.

I'm still not against moving the #8 pick for a youngish front court starter locked up on a long term deal. My favorite targets are Al Horford, DeMarcus Cousins, Ersan Ilyasova, Ryan Anderson & Serge Ibaka.

Ay y'all, I thought Seraphin was supposed to be a quality power forward prospect for us? Is he not a part of this team's future?

I hate Seraphin now :demonic:

He's actually better playing exclusively at CENTER. But he still doesn't rebound, his help defense is suspect, and he has become a shot jacker.

Seeing Zbo rebounding without jumping while Seraphin has all the tools :snoop: its all heart and Seraphin lacks it

So looking at this combine I've decided that none of these dudes are worth it but with Grunfeld trading is not a good idea either.

:why:

Wake me up when free agency starts :snooze:

we don't have cap room... all we have is the MLE and the bi annual exception..

so pretty much signing Webster and a backup PG

This draft sucks but look at this way... Most of these dudes will be better than Vesley :steviej:
